San Diego-based oil painter, Kimball Willson, specializes in custom dog and horse portraits. In each painting, she captures the personality of the animal while making the piece an interesting work of art through her use of color and varied brushstrokes. In addition to her canine and equine art, she also makes abstract paintings for the home or office to create an inviting feel through stylish decor.

 

Growing up on a small farm in western New York, her deeply rooted passion for animals and interest in art began as a young child. As a teen, this transformed into a commitment to professional horsemanship and a focus on studio art. Kimball and her family have had numerous Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and once moving to San Diego with her husband, they began fostering rescue puppies too. At this point, she shifted to a career as a professional artist and now paints the subject matter she loves most.

 

In addition to her fine art, Kimball owns a small business, Corporate to Canvas, where she leads company team building events and fundraising events through group painting activities. While her professional background encompasses numerous career paths, she is grateful for the opportunity she has now to paint every day, bring joy to her clients, and inspire students to explore their creativity.
